The author, Mrs. Beate Heusel-Hollemeyer, has been working full-time as a certified tour guide in her native city of Mainz for 25 years. So she knows like no other what visitors are particularly interested in. The translation into English was done by her colleague Judith König, who has been guiding English-language city tours through Mainz for groups from the USA and Great Britain for many years.
