Beschreibung
The currently 'aroused' cultural upheaval about children as figures is one starting point of this cultural study. This 'arousal' turns out to be part of a social conflict: Things once repelled abundantly return in western images and discourses of child and youth sexuality. This volume analyzes art and media material which addresses trans-boundary aspects of sexuality. In a broad continuum, motives of abuse, 'sexual degeneration', loss of innocence, or even seduction play a role - to name a few. At the same time, the analyzed productions do not let go in their reception - and so the question of what 'transgressions' and pleasure gains are at play here poses itself once more.
