It starts with the Palace of the Republic and ends with a blurry Trabant driving away, and what lies in between are 236 documentary-style photographs of everyday Berlin life by German photographer Esther Levine. Levine, who currently resides in New York, created these photographs on repeated visits to Berlin since 1999.
