Beschreibung

What makes this book different from many other, is the fact that it has been written by someone who was involved in the Green Movement, was among the protesters in the streets, and felt the fear of the police weapon over his head. The author is narrating what he has witnessed during this turbulent era of his homeland. More importantly, he believes that the book is a historical reference and the lessons derived from it can be helpful for whoever protesting against dictatorship. The author finds himself owing this book to all who are fighting for freedom. The book consists of two chapters, and each chapter is divided to two main sections. The first chapter of the book is a brief narration and interpretation of the incidents before and after the Iranian Presidential Election in 2009, of which the author has been a witness. In this chapter, the formation of Green Movement in Iran and the following incidents are examined based on the authors observations. In the second chapter of the book, the author examines the theoretical and strategic weaknesses of the Green Movement of Iran which lead the movement to failure against the countrys religious autocracy. In the authors opinion, the causes to this failure can be found in the movement itself, and recognition and correction of the obstacles need to be set as top priority.
