Beschreibung
This study focuses on experimentally investigating the role of mixing in the re- ignition process by hot exhaust gas jets that might accidentally emerge from flameproof enclosures into a near stoichiometric hydrogen-air mixture. The main focus was laid on characterizing the initial outflow conditions and studying their influence on the flow field of the free jets. This information can be used to improve type testing in the field of explosion protection and to refine numerical mixing models.
